mini excavators

I stopped to get fuel. $1. 98 a gallon. Oh well i need it so i pull up and guess what..... the pump was set for $1. 00 a gallon by mistake.

30 gallons for $30. 00 with a receipt to boot. Hey sometimes lady luck gives ya a smile:D :D

Just a little funny story I thought i share

Have a nice weekend ;)

I just saw $2. 25 per gallon of #2 here! Yes that's U. S. $! Wish they'd make that mistake here... they say it's shipping... #%^&$ pirates!

   and I heard on the radio today that the price of crude is at a three month low!!!! we are getting ripped!!!!

Well I made the usual call over the CB when I got back into today... ... "anybody been/came through Franklin KY and know what diesel is at?" seeing as its only 20 miles away.

Some guy responded "$1. 46 a gallon when I came through!":--) :--) :--)

I grabbed someone to go along for the ride (lonesome after the first few times) and off I went.

Sure e'nuf I got to Franklin and it was $1. 46 :{ made me really wish I had my 5 5-gal. cans with me, but I haven't reinstalled my toolbox since I installed my stacks so I wouldn't dare haul fuel containers in the bed.

Darn sure dont stop in Illinios for fuel, I paid $2. 04 in Marion Ill. On Sunday night on my way to Nashville. Had I known how high that state is I would have pushed it the other 30 miles to Kentucky. I feel sorry for you guys who live in states where it's $. 50 to $. 60 higher than the rest of us. Thats insane

Was in California last week and took my wife's uncle's truck out and filled it up for him. 2. 01 a gal and rising. Regular was 2. 19 per gal at that time. Too many people and to many roads. Too big of a city for this country hick.

Yep, I noticed it at $1. 539 at a Texaco in Stafford, TX yesterday morning. Much better than the 1. 699 - 1. 799 that's usual around here lately.

Duane

Here in Hanford Ca. ... I paid $1. 89 2 weeks ago and yesterday when I filled up the price had dropped to $1. 85

I ran 546 miles on the last tank and the mileage figured out to 21. 41 mpg...

Rick

546 on a tank of fuel:eek:

I have never gotten over 350 on a tank @10mpg

Must be nice:D

Sure Patriot ill tell ya since your the only one who can benefit being so close to me:p

Hess right near the tacony-palmyra

Never tried, but was considering carying an emergency diesel fuel can in the back. I didn't think diesel was a problem to have in the back, only gasoline... Can anyone confirm this? Maybe I can still return my half height toolbox and get the full depth one to carry a can in.

Thanks Bud, I just filled with the last bit of red in my 550 the other day.

Wouldnt be worth the 1. 5 hour + ride each way right now.

It it was in Morrisville, I'd gather up all the 5 gallon cans I could find, and take my chances. :D

If I really hammer it I could be there in 35-45 minutes. :D

Adam re-read the last couple of lines of my posts. I have stacks with in bed plumbing that's why I didn't want to carry my cans in there. I don't have my toolbox back in yet so I didn't have anything to seperate the cans from the stacks.

Down the road from me about 2 miles is a station that sells fuel for cars and pickups (no semi's) and the price is $1. 89. I drove 34 miles round trip into Missouri and got fuel for $1. 45 tonight. It is well worth the drive for the savings. I had 338. 1 miles on the tank and put in 15. 765 gallons (always fill to the top of the filler tube) and it comes out to 21. 44mpg. I am happy for both the mileage and the savings :p
