Howdy all,
Just installed a set of the Hadley air horns(Bully) that I bought from Camping World over the weekend. MAN, WHAT A DIFFERENCE #ad
!!!!!These horns are LOUD!I had no problems with the install, thanks to the help of other members that posted a while back about various locations for the tank,compressor,horns,etc... I mounted the tank to the left bumper brace in front of the wheelhouse liner, and the horns I put behind the bumper on a fabricated steel plate about same thickness as the crossmember. Found a nice place to nest the compressor right next to the speed control servo on top of the left fenderwell. I only had to drill one hole in the rig for the whole operation, and that was for the comp. I just disconnected the factory horns at their plugs and tapped into the horn wire under the fan shroud for the solenoid coil. This way I didn`t have to install the toggle switch that came with the kit. I am very happy with the sound and quality of the kit. I paid about $225. 00. These horns rock!! #ad

Hey Barracuda,

I've got mine ordered through J. C. Whitney. I can't wait till they get here, I get tired of people pulling out in front of me. #ad
I sure hope they perform according to what people have written in the treads. Wouldn't mind waking some of them up. #ad

BIG BOB,
I don't think you will be disappointed at all with those Bully horns on your rig!The compressor cuts on at 110 psi and cuts out at 130psi. Considering the size of the tank, you could probably get a good 8 second blast or so. That will surely let other idiots know that you mean business #ad
. I haven't let the tank run down all the way yet but I believe this to be a pretty good estimate of the length of the blast. On the ignition run power wire,I found a cavity in the fuse panel that is hot only in key on position that is for the power seat fuse. I don't have power seats so this was a good place to tap into for juice. Ran a #12 wire from that through the grommet then soldered in a blade type fuse holder w/20 amp fuse. The fuse holder that comes with the kit has the older Buss glass type fuse. This way it takes the same later style blade fuses as the others. Good luck on your install!!
DIESEL ON! #ad

I would recommend wiring it like Barracuda said. That way, if you develop an air leak, the compressor won't cycle on and off and drain your batteries.
