Need Air Compressor Help!

Anyone know of a good place to get a Hadley 850 air compressor? And when I say "good", you know I mean the cheapest place to get one. I found JC Whitney has them but I've too many bad experiences with them when I've placed orders so I kinda want to steer clear. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a new Hadley pump sitting on my tool box in the shop. Let me check the number and I will PM you. I can look out my office window and see Hadleys building across the street and we have traded some favors. If mine isnt the one your looking for let me ask them about it for you.

Check eBay. I just sold one on there for $75. It was new, never installed. There were several others on there at the same time.

How are the Hadley pumps? I'm getting ready to buy some air horns at Camping World but the pump that comes with the Ambassador horns seems kinda small... Anyone have any good or bad experiences with them?

TIA,

Clay

I've had mine for 3 years, came with the air horns, I don't use the horn frequently, so the compressor doesn't run often (a couple times per month?), however, I've had no problems at all with mine. It takes a good 4 or 5 minutes to fill my small tank though, so it's no whirlwind (maybe a gallontank? I'd have to crawl under the truck).

The pump is great! (Until now), I had a leak which I didn't know about which caused my pump to run soooo long the piston rod came off.

I too had that problem, the pump ran for about 6 hours. I am darn lucky it did not catch fire.

I have solved that problem by putting a relay in that only provides power when the truck is running. That way if I do have a leak I have a chance to hear the pump run for more than 5 minutes.

I bought my last couple of 850's off ebay. One for my new truck and a replacement for the one I burned up. You can also order replacment parts from Rickson. . might look into that first. Go the Hadley website and get all the part numbers, call Rickson and order them up.

That's what I did, I wired it up so it only has power when the truck is powered, but all those drives when I couldn't hear it running just killed it. Thanks for the info about Rickson carrying replacement parts, that will come in handy. And E-bay is becoming my regular 850 supplier too it seems.
