Duh-never mind. After trying all possible combinations I figured it out (stupid), just put a hyphen (-) between "air" and "horns"-VOILA Hadley Airhorns right at ya babe. .

V man, Rickson Wheels has Grover air horn kits at a great price, they will mail you a catalog if you call them. The listing of horns and various kit combinations takes up a whole page... really reasonable prices... They state that these are the same horns supplied to Kenworth, Peterbilt, etc. I like the Hadleys, they look top notch, but probably cost it too!

V Man, Try JcWhitney. The Hadley "Bully" complete setup will run around $225. Camping World carries the "Ambassador" series for $300+.

We have the kings of air horns right here in the bay area. BPINE and Mike Crossley. They never seem to tire of their offensive weapons #ad
Of course they also tow fifth wheel trailers, I don't understand that indignity either #ad

You must admit though HVAC that I can get good air out of you when you are not paying attention!!!! Actually Blair and myself have the Grover air horns and after hearing the Hadleys this weekend the Grovers are much louder and more of a get the hell out of my way sound to them, but to each his own, the hadles sounded good too.

There were other posts on this subject a few months ago, check the archives for them. In one of them, I posted a comment about the guy who bought my '96 Dodge. He told me he used to have a Ford with a set of real railroad engine air horns under the bed! He didn't have a compressor, he had a tank in the bed and would fill it at gas stations. With horns like those, who needs and exhaust brake? If you wanna slow down, just blast those big air horns!

As it turns out my girlfriend (who works for a trucking company) can get the horns I want for about $350 but I'm still worried about that damn headliner. I've installed Hadleys on a Toyota, Ford and my old 12v with pretty good success. Anyone out there pulled the liner down?? Any comments, suggestions etc.
Thanks in advance #ad

Do what I did, hook them up under the front bumper pointing out so they blast away anybody infront of you. Especially helpfull with grandpa and his cady infront of you in florida in the left lane. Yeah I know it's not right but really don't care. I modified it so I can blast long or short. Next with the bully is a larger air tank that I will do under the cab.

BPine,

Where did you get the Grover's for $250. If they are louder I might add them to my Hadley's and make some real noise... #ad

Rickson Wheels has some very nice Grover air horn kits and individual components, all listed in detail in a catalog. They offer a complete, under-the-hood set for $247. 00.
Give 'em a call or email, they'll send you a catalog !

Got the horns (almost). Found them on the Cape(Cod). They're dual 26" chrome trumpets with a setup similar to the "Bully" from Hadley except WAY bigger. But I still need advice from anyone that has pulled the liner down. These boys are goin on the roof but like I said before-that headliner fits nice and I want it to go back that way. Any do's or don'ts?? I blew the horn at a guy yesterday and felt sick when I heard the horn that DC puts in this great truck. Thanks guys

I have never taken the headliner down other than a slight experience today. I was wiring up my halo light to the overhead lights. To tap into the wiring, I pulled the A-piller cover off. Soon, without any help from me, the headliner started to come down on its own. I was amazed to see how little was holding this stuff up. If your mounting the horns to one side, I would imagine that it would be quite easy as I experienced. If you're going to center mount the horns, you might want to just ignore this message. Good luck,

Hello all

You might try a wrecking yard too, where they have big rigs.
Got a single Grover, about 24" or so and a dual International Harvester set, maybe 14 and 17 inches give or take, for around 10 bucks each, but that is the horns only, and was about 10 years ago!
This list got me to try them out today, Grover is way louder, but is also in better shape, even though it is a single.
Anyone know if cleaning up the diaphragm and seating surface on the other side of the spring, the side where the horn is, will help with volume?
Figure maybe a stronger spring and better sealing will help, anyone know?
IH horns are kinda rough in this area.
