I installed a Hadley Bully air horn this past weekend, my truck sounds like a big rig now, JUST WHAT I WANTED! Scares the sh*t out of my dogs though, they won't even come out of the house now!

Not to dish on Mr Dee's Hadley Bully horns but another option is Grover air horns. These are orignal equip on Mac and other big trucks. You can get them at Rickson truck they advertise in the TDR they are the people who sell the 19. 5 wheel kits. I bought a kit from them a couple of weeks ago there service was very good. I mounted the compressor next to the fuse box the tank were I removed the old horns and the horns under the raditor on the back side of the frame.

I bought my Hadley at Camping World, it was about $225. I mounted it just like BPine did, the horn is mounted on the cross brace below the radiator and I also put the compressor there, the air tank is mounted down where the stock horns are. In that location, I can see the air pressure gauge on top of the air tank. I left the stock horns hooked up, you can't hear them anyway!

I mounted the compressor on the ps wheel well just in front of the computer and behind the airbox, its out of the way and pretty sheltered from the elements. I was able to mount the tank / gauge / solenoid also on the ps wheel well just below the battery. I have easy access to the air hose connection.

Can get the whole kit from JcWhitney for about $225.

Is the instllation of air horns idiot proof? I mean I almost installed Marine Air Horns in my truck but when I looked at the wiring I was stumped. I don't want to screw up any electrical stuff. any pointers? Or should I just pay to have it done?

Scary,
It's a pretty basic job. Hadley gives you instructions. If in doubt, you can always ask here or drop me an e-mail. The soleoid is tied into your OEM horn line. A 12vdc line to the pressure switch turns the compressor on / off.

Any other BOMB member requirments.

Do the air horns operate from the stock horn button or is there a chain that has to be pulled?

1994 Ram 2500, reg. cab, 3. 54, amsoil filters and synthetics

It operates from the stock button. You remove the wires that go to the stock horn and put them on the 12v solenoid provided. I screwed the solenoid directly to the horns so the sound is instant.

The only thing louder than BPINE's horns is the sound of two turbo charged diesel hot rod RAMS drag racing the other night.

Thx for the show guys, fantastic trucks!!

Anybody have the part numbers from JCWhitney on what they ordered. There are so many choices I'm not sure which one I need. Thanks for the info and if anybody can email me with installatin ideas I'd appricate it. DD
