Halo light ring for 2002 model??

Anyone know if it is possible to get an ignition switch with the halo light ring from any earlier year model (2001) and install it in a 2002 truck and everything still work properly?? My '95 has the halo light ring and I wish my 2002 had it also (I find myself fumbling in the dark tring to get the keys in the ignition). Just got to love the DC deletions

I don't know about the 2002, but on the 2001 trucks the ring has the light in int and all you have to do is hook it up. There were several threads on how to do this a while back... ...

Not sure on your '01 but on later models with the eliminated halo light everything's there except the wiring. I don't know if some of the electronics were removed though. If so it could become a major ordeal.

The halo ring that was in my 1996 isn't there in my 2002. Just a black plastic ring around the ignition switch.
