FCC is a bit discombuberated this month. I sent for a renewal for mine, and they sent a new license with the experation date shown as 2005 instead of 2015. Oh well, our tax dollars at work.

Got rig?

I got a Yaesu VX-7R handheld. Seems to be working real well for local traffic and repeaters. I made my first contact yesterday and talk more on one of the local repeaters last night. I am very thrilled with being a HAM finally (I've wanted to do this for about 10 years). I am already taking pride in calling myself a HAM operator. There is a local club meeting tomorrow night, and I'm going.
