For the past couple weeks, most every time I shift my '06 automatic out of park it hangs up just like your not pushing on the brake to release it. I took the dash apart around the steering column thinking I might see a pin hung up or a solenoid not working or something. Well I didn't learn anything. I'm sure one of you know what happens when you press on the brake pedal to releases the shift lever-to get it out of park. Now I just grit my teeth an give it a quick yank. Thanks

The interlock is under the truck where the cable bolts to the side of the trans. Might be worth checking connections and lubing what you can find there. :)

Check the shift interlock cable adjustment. If the solenoid quits working I don't think you will be coming out of park :( A blown brake light switch and create that .
