anyone had any dealings with this outfit? I ordered one two weeks ago, paid via credit card, now no Happibox, no answer to email, no phone answer, etc. I have a ph. no of 651-798-3498 in Royal Palm Beach, Fl. I live only 350 mi from Palm Beach Fl so should have recei ved it long ago. Beware of this guy!!

I am going to jump in here and see if we can give you a hand. We were sent 3 of these boxes to test, as we already had a noise filter with a sucess rate of about 80% and cost of about $ 37 bucks . Bill's thinking was that if we could find a product that had a higher success rate or 100% success rate we would be willing to recommend it. Our testing went as follows, 1 of the test trucks was a 1999 Dodge and the guy said it worked fine. The other was a 1998. 5 truck and worked for 2 weeks and then the problem came back. We do have one unit left that we have not installed, however when we were doing the testing we did note that it was to be used on the 1998 and newer Dodge Rams, instructions we got with the box indicated the box was for a 24 valve truck only.

One thing you should also be aware of is that we were actually asked to test these boxes by a customer of ours and it was a guy he knew of that was supposed to be building them. So we have no actual dealings with the company personally. How we understood it was that this was a sideline type of business so for all we know the guy could even be on holidays.

Per your signature you have a 12 valve truck so unless this is for a different truck even this one may be no good to you. You can have it if you want , just let me know.

In the meantime, I know you have a different vendor's product but on our website under the product release section / Noise filter section, it does have some information on TC's locking and unlocking and tips on how to deal with it first without having to buy anything. It may give you an idea where to start.

Stephan Kondolay,

Thanks so much for your input. Guess I can just chalk up the 114. 00 to experience. I should have suspected something when a person charges 19. 00 S&h for something no larger than a deck of cards.

Actually, I have just changed my truck profile. I now have a 98. 5 24 valve Ram. It has intermittent locking and unlocking,of TC at speeds of 62-69 mph only. Strange, isn't it. Under 62, OK nd over 70, OK.

Are you saying , in your post, that you have an untested 'Happibox" ffor a 98. 5 24 valve that I can have? Let me know and I will PM you(or email) my residence address. Meanwhile, I will explore your website at the suggestions for my problem.

This sounds more like a reflash than interference that a happi can resolve anyhow. . My truck does it but I keep the smart controller on and she never hunts. There is a reflash from dodge to address the "hunting" event. Scott from Massdiesel actually gave me the reflash # but I lost it and I dunno even if that # applies to the 89. 5 anyhow. Give him a shout 508 528 6127.

I think the re-flash # you're looking for is/was #18-02-99.

I went in to get this reflash done myself, but they couldn't find that #. The tech did find 3 available re-flashes for the truck and applied them all. The trans. did act differently than it did before I went in. Hard to explain the diff though. It did raise the shift points. The "hunting" also went away.

The charge for the reflash was $65 at the dealer here in town.

transmission hunting

Yes, that is the correct number for the TSB and I had it done at a dealer. 65. 00 and it didn't change anything(except contents of wallet) Still has the occasional 'hunting'problem. only does it between 60-70 mph. right where I like to drive.

Here's my input. I have been fighting the unlocking problem for a long time. I have tried many fixes with varying degrees of success, non permanent. A happi box did not work.

Two weeks ago Bill sent me his ( DTT's ) noise filter. So far it has worked perfectly. My truck has never run smoother ( 110K miles ) I picked up 1 mpg over two tanks of fuel, which could be due to the box making things run smoother or could be due to the fact that I spent more time running at 45 mph trying to make the TC unlock.

Just another reason for me to recommend DTT.

Can someone PLEASE describe the TC hunting a little better?

Is this something that is very obvious and can really be felt in your pants? Can it be seen as a rise and fall on the tachometer? I sometimes feel on my '99 a slight shudder or surging at that speed. I really don't see any fluctuation in my RPM's ???? Thanks!:)
