Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Hard brake peddle?

What's going on here... ?



Every once and a while I will notice that my brake peddle is a bit harder to push down than normal. Is there a common leak somewhere? I know the fluid level is good.

Since you have a '97, checking your power steering fluid level would be a good place to start. Could be a good time to change it out. On the '97, you have the Hydra-boost brake booster instead of a vacuum booster. It is "powered" by the power steering pump.
