Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) hard start and idal surge

i got fule at a station in NJ, after leaving about 3 to 5 min, eng started to surge at stops. I have no water in fule light, is thair any problems know to cause this with fule,im thinking injection pump but have no other simptoms except hard start. it is now cranking for aprox twice as long as it used to. please help. also i just installed edge juice aprox 1 week ago and i have 77,000 on the truck. it is a 2001 2500 4x4 auto, i also replaced the lift pump at 62,000, i have not checked the presher yet.

I hate to ask, how many gallons did you put in?



Are you sure those gallons were diesel?



It might be a fuel crap issue, check your filter.



I put in diesel once from chevron, about 10 years ago, my truck would die on the side of the road with the fuel filter clogged up with these big black flakes. After about 2 months it finally stopped.

i put in aprox 25 gallons, i went out side and tryed to start the truck up. to see if it was still doing it cold, and all problems seem to be gone. i gess i have to check the filter and see what is in thair. if it is the fule i will never go thair again. tomorro will tell the whole story on the way to work. but i will still check that filter.
