I have a buddy with a 94 5spd that has a #4 centered, EDM 370 injectors, 3K GSK, and just recently the timing adjusted to 16*, and also it has 260K on the clock... . stock turbo too!

He called me Wed. complaining of hard to start problems. We've been through the blue fuseable link before so he checked that, and he also checked the batteries and they were good. I told him it was probably the starter contacts so we put a Larry B kit in and it still has the hard starting.

I told him he's probably due for a starter what do you guys think?

GS,

Ask your friend if it is hard to start after setting overnight or every time.

If is is overnight or a long time I would vote for the PITA supply and return fuel lines. Be sure that he uses only the marine ones, otherwise he will be doing it again.

Shields makes the hose:

FIRE-ACOL USCG TYPE A1 SAE JI527/ISO 7840

same numbers on both the 5/16" and 3/8". This hose has a wall thickness 3x normal fuel hose. :p

crabman :)

PS. Tell him to have a first aid kit handy.
