Help 2003 2500 4X4 Quad cab
I have a hard time starting when it gets below 50 deg? Runs great after I get it started. I have to give the motor a shot of starting fluid first thing in the AM. Have tried recycling ut to 3 or 4 times and still will not start on its own. 1 shot of starting fluid and starts right up and runs fine all day? I have a quad chip but has same problem with or with out the chip. I think it is the fuel sensor or heater element? I took the fuel sensor off and tried to ohm it as the book said but I show no resistance. I have an old fluke meter. Has any one tried to over ride the little temp sensor in that unit and have it heat every time? What would be the problem with that? I am not sure how to check out the element?
Would like to get this fixed this weekend as winter is on its way.
