Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Hard Starting

My truck has always started the first time easy. The last two days it hs been hard to start. Need some suggestions on what to check besides the fuel filter and the 5/16 fuel return line that is so hard to get to. It is a 95, 5 speed.

You should've probably put this in the 12v section but while your here I'll give you something to look at. Check the fuel shutoff solenoid. I don't have a 12v but I think it's on the drivers side about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way back the engine about level with the head. They have a plastic boot around them which a lot of times will tear and let water down in them corroding the shaft that comes out the bottom and will not let it perform properly. just something to look at
