Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Hard starting

I just installed a new vp44 from Industrial injection and all went well. Truck runs great. I put about 200 miles on it no problems.

Hooked up to the tailor and got ready to head to San Diego and went to start it and it turned over for a few seconds and then started. I thought that was odd as it always starts instantly. Looked under the hood and didn't see any signs of anything leaking. Drove about 250 miles to Ceder City and got fuel and now it took almost 5 seconds to start. We stayed in Mesquite NV. that night and looked at it in the morning and #1 injector tube was weeping a little at the head. I tightened it and it started like normal. topped off the fuel in Vegas and it started great. Got fuel again in Victorville and started hard again. Drove to San diego and put a new fuel filter in and now it starts fine again.

I topped off at a place in Salt Lake right before all this started at 2. 26 a gallon witch is cheaper than anywhere else in town and usually not a cheap place.

I wonder if they were trying to empty there tanks and got some bad fuel?

I'll see how it starts and go from there.

Any ideas would be great as we are going to Mexico in a week or so and need to make sure I have it figured out by then
