After installing a FASS lift pump the truck started hard when hot. Dodge replaced the injection pump under warranty and all was good for a short time. Three months later its doing the same thing, and Dodge wont replace the injection pump beacuse I'm now out of warranty. As per the FASS manual I installed a Hobb switch in the oil pressure, as to only have the lift pump work when there is oil pressure. Now it starts great, but I now have a check engine light (from cutting the ground wire from the ECM to the lift pump??). I have a otc scanner, but it wont read the code. The fuel pressure is a steady 16 psi. So my questions are; can I just ground the OEM ground wire to the lift pump, or will that cause a problem to the ECM, If the injection pump wont start with good fuel pressure is my fix only a band-aid to a faulty injection pump??
