After spending a few hours with an air chisel, pipe wrench, bigger and bigger hammers, and atorch to heat the drag link and freon to cool the stud, I was at my wits end. I prayed about it and an idea was planted in my mind: slip a nut over the stud, push it up to within a half inch of the drag link, weld it on, and then pop the stud out with a tie-rod-end remover! Sure enough, it popped right off! I had called my favorite front end shop and they had suggested that after trying heat and no go, they would have pulled off the drag lkink and pressed out the stud. This idea was a REAL blessing!:D I KNEW I shoulda prayed about it when I first started instead of wasting a full day trying to do it on my own!!!

pray on

I have found the power of prayer to be awesome. it is great to see what happens when we get out of God's way and let Him work

Inspiration....

Hey. . that happen to me all the time. I have a problem, I just quit for a while and "inspiration" comes. Other ways of getting stuck suspension parts are.

I have undone nut til even with stud, then pounded nut and stud.

It also help to pry on it sometimes.

My father in law showed me how to take nut off, put prying pressure on, then hit on side of joint. He said it just distorts fitting enough to loosen, but still springs back with out damaging it.

I've seen where you can heat the stud or bolt and then touch a candle to it and the capillary action will pull wax into joint and lube it. Not tried thatone however.

I have found Prayer and meditation(wait for idea) works a whole lot better than cursing!;)
