All,
I installed some 275 RV injectors a week ago. Since then, if the truck sits overnight I have a hard time starting it in the morning. Half-throttle usually does the trick but only after several seconds of cranking. So, my thought is obviously that air is getting in the system. So I back off the injector nuts, retorque them, make sure all my fuel lines are tight (have the FASS and Vulcan's line from the filter housing to VP) and I still seem to have the problem.
Just to confuse the heck out of me, I go camping for a weekend, come back, and the truck starts fine. Then, it just sits overnight the next day, and starts hard this morning.
So, what's the checklist? The fuel filter is only about 5K old, everything else looks great. How concerned should I be about fuel transfer tubes (and anything else associated with the injector install)? I did the install using the FSM and the Diesel Dynamics pdf that floats around this site. I can't imagine I damaged anything during the install, I was very careful.
So, I'd love to hear from the collective voice of experience that is the TDR.
Thanks!
John
