Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) hard to start

i have a 01 that in the mornings or it sit for a hour or 2 it wont make fuel pressure tell i mess with bumping the starter a bunch of times may be for 5 to 10 min... when i bump it the lp clicks a few times and thats all. . no pressure then finally it takes off with 15lb of pressure... i have tryed new pumps and a cam senser... . it smokes white while cranking... it kinda seem like it lost its prime but lp should still work i think. . also its really bad if facing up hill some... any help would be great thanks trd

have you checked for codes?. . cycle the key three times ,do not start,you will get a pcm update and a ecm update... get back to us,also fill out yourt sig ,is your truck stock,bombed?milage?good luck

Go to user control panel under discussion forums & click on edit signature. List your mods & we'll be glad to help. It sounds like a bad lp, but we need more info to be sure.
