HARD towing with the new 2013

I am at 4000 plus towing miles with my new 2013. Always the same trailer combined total weight 26,000 pound area. Yesterday we left Pendelton Oregon headed east, went up the grade into the Blues. Truck was awesome, had to slow it down for the corners and topped out well over the speed limit!!! The next pass last nignt was Pequop on Interstate 80 East of Wells Nevada. Again it would exceed the posted speed limit on that climb easly, again had to slow down on a couple of the corners. . My wife had a observation this morning, that I would have backed off with my hot rod 04 because of EGTs. She was correct in this observation. The new truck is bone stock, is there anyone out there that has a EGT gauge in his 2013 truck? Just wondering how hot this thing is. , because it is stock I figure that I really dont need to worry about such things,

Even Better Check this out..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gksnzdMVPOo&feature=em-upload_owner The 13 will NOT Regen in stopped & go traffic, I pull over twice (off Ramps) it dis-engaged at speeds below 20 MPH, Both times, this is the 2nd Regen (Active) in 3800 Miles it lasted 18 Miles Total at HWY Speed (70) the 1st lasted 8 Miles at 65 MPH. it used 2. 5 Gallons DEF @ 3800 miles.

I am not aware of a regen in my truck in 5000 miles of towing.

They are un-detectable... . and occur at HWY speeds in almost all cases. Also its possible that it has NOT occurred.

Wow. The new truck is really quiet going down the highway in that youtube vid.

No comparison to my 2nd Gen.

This may be a good excuse to my wife to look at a new one! She always complains about the noise.

Both my wife and I are stunned on how quiet this truck (2013) is towing compared to our 2004 and the 04 was MUCH quieter than our 01. . We can pull the hardest passes trailer in tow (26,000# Combined wt) listen to the Sirus radio and STILL carry on a conversation!!!!!!!!!

Where in Wisconsin??

If truck is stock, the computer will monitor the temps, and not let it get too high. If power added, then should have a gauge.
