Harmonic balancer question--On a 2001. 5 3500 HO 6 spd- If a fluidamper

balancer is installed--can the belt be changed without taking the balancer off?

2001. 5 3500 6sp HO 4x4 quad cab 275 inj edge ez 228500 miles orig vp

Yes. Belt change should be no different than with the stock dampener. I've had an fluidamper for many miles now and never an issue with the belt change. 99 and 01. 5 shouldn't be any different - emphasis on "shouldn't" . . . .

Thanks for the reply--I am changing steering gear box- links- vac pump rebuild-ps pump harmonic balancer first of week-Hope there will be no unexpected happnings.

Thanks Mark

Yes it can. Installed mine last week, 1800mi. later towing 14000lb 5`er, I wish I had done it long ago. You won`t believe how much vibration it takes out of the 6-speed.
Good Luck Capt. Phil
