Racoon attacks daughter

Nick posted a picture of a combine head trailer and had some questions. I can’t remember the thread, so thought I’d start a new one and add some harvest pics. Here are some shots of one of the trailers these guys I work for have. Up close, you can see it actually is pretty robust. That is a gooseneck hitch they use for connection to the dolly.

Edit: not enough service to post many pics. Will try later. The elevator has us unloading at an outside storage. It’s pretty impressive. Hoping to get pics up soon.

The hugeness of wheat harvesting is mind boggling. I saw a video of 10 John Deere combines getting it done, time was of the essence. The support needed for an operation of that size is huge. And the cost of equipment....A new John Deere 670hp tractor on tracks is $600k:eek: Fuel tank is 400 gal and DEF is 22 gallons, 14.9L Cummins:)

Keep the pictures coming Bud!

I took this pic this morning. It shows how they circulate air through the pile with fans. I was told the total capacity of the pile is 1.3 million bushels. I’d like to see them tarp it, but we will be moving soon.

Where are you located? That's some big equipment in your pictures. Here in northern KY tractors average about 85 hp due to the steepness of the hills. I was bush hogging on our cattle farm over the weekend and had the tractor dancing on 3 tires more times than I care to mention.

This is north central Missouri. We relocated here sixteen years ago to my wife’s family farm after her dad died. He quit farming the place years ago and put it all in grass. Purely a cattle operation now.

The CaseIH 370 Steiger needs upgraded factory air intake. It is a precleaner that sucks above the cab. Filter life is extended especially during grain cart duty.

One last one - putting loads into a drying bin. When it reads the moisture content you program in, it will automatically move grain off the bottom to a storage bin. That’s probably a wrap for pictures.
