Mustang Muscle in ST. Louis is sponsoring a Dyno Day on the 7th of Nov. I understand Bullydog is gonna be there and I will do a couple runs with it if they are. I'll try to encourage somebody with the 555 to do so also and then we'll post the results.

I'm scheduled to get mine done on Friday. Truck is stock, except for an AFE filter, and lack of muffler. I plan on doing stock, and each of the 3 settings, same day, same dyno. I'll post results when I get them.

I wanted to clairify - I emailed Bullydog to ask if they can get a few of their local distributors to stop in with the power pup

BUT MCS diesel of eureka will not able to make until late afternoon, and Chris Radclif of DieselWerks (southcounty area) does not have any in stock. . HMMM

Hopefully some one will bring one :(

I called Bullydog today and they have no confirmation that any of thier other distributors will be able to make it... SOOO I might just buy one next week and have it 2nd day air'ed to get one here in time... You would think they would want people to see the gain in person, and do what it takes to get it down... No biggy though

HHHhmmmm,

Live out in St. Peters (about 30 miles west of STL) and have a 04 555 auto with 20,000 miles and just a Edge EZ that is easy enough to pull off :-laf ... So you might just have a good base line for a stock 555 truck... ;)

Bone stock other than a EZ and ETG gauge (even a stock filter)...

Think i will try to be there i would be interested in seeing some dyno #'s just had mine dyno'd at 1st capitol 4wheel drive in saint peters i was very impressed with the numbers i got out of my truck.

1) - you better be there!!!

2) - you dyno and tell us that you were inpressed, but then no numbers?

you are you teasing us kevin??

Spill the beans! what did ya get?

PS- do you miss the old truck? or are you loving the new one?

I have not dynoed with the DL yet. I do know that when I had DDIII's and the EZ on level 6 my clutch was fine. With the DL on extreme I could drive right through the clutch. It was amazing how hard my truck pulled. The DDIII's and EZ dynoed at 390 HP. Thats on a SO CA truck. Baseline was 201 HP. Downloader makes more power on my truck than the 3's and ez for sure. Now I need a clutch.

Kevin,

What do these numbers represent?

373 hp 693 tq

424 hp 766 tq

415 hp 735 tq

What levels did you dyno on and what other mods do you have?

Dave, do you like the EZ and what, if any, difference in MPG? thanks, Doc

I like the EZ although I think there is a difference with and without the boost elbow (feels like more low end without) but the ETG's are slightly cooler with the elbow. Now I am having problems with the air filters. The $$$$ mopar filter seemed to do OK, but I recently went with a Fleet Guard (OME replacement) and I instantly pull the filter minder to about 60% and it kind of feels like the truck is running out of breath about half way into 3rd gear on a full throttle run...

I do notice the EZ makes the truck a tiny bit touchy on cold mornings, but not really that bad at all. It spools alot quicker, ALOT easier to pull out in traffic and hardly ever needs to come out of OD when pulling my Jeep (about a 6,000 load). Without the EZ I was bouncing in and out of OD on the same hills (just had to put it into tow mode and let it rev alittle more).

Gas Mileage?

If my wife is standing beside me  it increased about 1. 5 MPG's... . :-laf and that is why I got it... ;)

but in all reality, it only increased (very slightly if at all) due to it not having to down shift so much to pull the same hills.

My EGT's will kiss 1300 on a full throttle shot and start coming back down just hair to about 1250 (around about 75-80) on a full blast 0-speed limiter.

Just for clarification: Oil, Fuel, Air filters get replaced with fleet guard brands every 5,000k so that should pretty much rule out ever running into a clogged system (other than OEM limits). Injector cleaner through it twice; and fuel lubricant every couple of tanks or so.

Would I buy it again??? Yes, i still think it is a great box and is probably one of the most reliable offered to date, had mine on since 700 miles... If I would have a suggestion for improvements, place mini-flip switches in the box instead of those tiny little jumpers since switching levels is kind of a pain without some tiny needle nose pliers.
