While pulling the trailer yesterday I noticed a slight oil smell. I looked under truck and noticed oil dripping from the front right tire to the middle of the truck. :--) Shut truck off and popped hood. After cleaning most of the mess up I noticed the oil was coming from the return tube coming off of the bottom of the turbo. One bolt was missing and the other one had about 2 threads left before it fell out. Dealer didn't have the bolts or the gasket in stock and they said it would be about 3 or 4 days before they could get the parts. After looking at the gasket it looked o. k. and I took the remaining bolt to the hardware store and matched it up as close as I could. Put everything back together added 2 quarts of oil and looks o. k. for now. Will order the correct parts now that truck is back on the road. :p

That never happened to me but theres a first time for everthing. 91 I had oil cooler developed leak and filled my radiator with oil forcing coolant out. The 98 I had dumped all the oil one morning going to work(gasket blew out on lifter cover they said it was probably installed wrong)and left me on the side of the rode. Through a fit and they traded me for 2000. But that didn't turn me away from dodge. Had good luck with them before that and better luck after that.

My turbo return line started seeping oil. I went to Cummins SW and they gave me 2 free gaskets and offered new bolts. Great Cummins shop. :)

They sugested stacking the 2 gaskets as the mounting flange was tight and it was seeping. Said could be a rough spot or ding on the mateing surface's.

Seep stopped!!
