Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) has anyone used #4 fuel oil in their cummins?

I 've got a line on some #4 fuel oil, has anyone tried using it in their Cummins diesels?

I woudnt even consider it unless it was cut with kerosene at least 50%. Even then, only in the hot weather.

Especially with a 24V engine & it's delicate pump.

i run used engine oil in mine. but you need to keep the pick up screen clean. i took mine out and put a draw straw in and then put a pre filter outside the tank.

I planned on cutting it with kero and running it through a 3 micron filter before in goes in the truck, I would think it has better lube than todays diesel

I'd gauge the mix rate by the tailpipe. :-laf
