Tonight as I got out of my truck, I touched the electric door lock button and closed the door. Ten minutes later when I came back, my key would not turn the key cylinder either way and I could not unlock the drivers door. I went around to the passenger door and the door unlocked as usual. Both side electric buttons will lock and unlock the doors, but if you pull the manual button located by my shoulder up and down it does feel different, a bit stiff and scratchy. Any ideas? I have not had a chance to look at taking the door interior panel off yet to see what happened.

Has anyone used a slim jim to unlock that door in the past? If so one of the rods could be bent, just an idea.

Good luck.

Most all my rigs have done this at one point when the weather is just right. It takes rain or wet snow coming down at an angle sticking on the side of the door, a thaw and then a refreeze. Conditions were just right in Montana last week, several of the vehicles at work had both locks frozen. Windshield/lock deicer from the autoparts fixes it right up. I even had to spray it though the crack between the door and body on some, the rubber seal was frozen to the body and you couldn't get the doors open.

Ditto what Ill said

Mine did it once or twice and if you put the key in it feel like there's no locking mechanism at all. The seal around the front and rear door is another issue. :{ #@$%!
