Just got my 2004 ho and while driving the 35 mph route to work I noticed that with O/D off I have to hit 46 mph to lock T/C after locking I can coast down to 37 mph and it remains locked. My 2002 locked alot earlier. Any way to manually lock t/c (switch maybe)?? Anyone else have this trouble?? Any suggestions??

You might call Clint Cannon at ATS Transmissions. 800-949-6002 and talk to them about the Emjay Strategy Controller. Guys who use one seem to like it.
 
Yeah I agree with ya on the shift points. I wish the transmission would lock the t/c in 3rd before it shifts to 4th. I really like the feel of the shifts but the shift program needs some attention. I think Dodge needs to take a lesson from GM on programming trannies. I loved the way my 4L80E shifted. It just always seemed so smart.
 
Are you sure your speaking of a '04? Reason I ask is because your talking about a O/D button and 3. 55 gears. To my knowledge, the '04's don't have a O/D button nor can you get 3. 55 grears from the factory. If it's a mistake on what you typed, what are the shifts like when not in Tow/Haul mode?
 
You are correct. I am thinking of my 02 this truck has 3:73 gears. The tow/haul button locks out the O/D when activated. When not in Tow/haul mode I can get T/C? lockup at 49 mph. Only 3 mph less than in drive.
