If you do let me know. I am looking for a donor truck /trade /purchase or whatever I need to do to get a manual transmission in my truck. If you wanted to trade that would be the best course. My auto is in need of a rebuild and that would be taken into consideration when arrangements were made. Email or PM if interested. Thanks.

I wouldn't trade my DTT auto for five five speeds and six six speeds, even if Southbend and Mitchell's threw in a free clutch with each one!!

If I was a dedicated drag racer, or had to put up with San Francisco hills and/or stop and go traffic every day... . well, I'd at least think about an auto, but I like being in control of what my vehicle is doing, not at the mercy of whatever the vehicle (transmission) feels like doing.



Besides, I like playing pretend I'm driving a Big Boys Truck

Let's see, I thought about an auto for all of 3 seconds. I knew that a diesel needed all the gears it could get (i. e. big rigs), so it was a no brainer. PLus, the wife couldn't drive a stick.



I live in a town that has an infrastructure to support 15000 people, but it has a population of over 100,000 people that use the roads. Thus, traffic is awful, and lines can back up over a mile at these little intersections.



I STILL wouldn't trade my NV5600 for an auto.



I might consider it ONLY if they were shipping the trucks with an ATS or DTT already in it-- and do that for the same money or less than the 6-gear cost me.

Nowell, what are you looking to get out of the 6'er? Bad part is I need ALL of the stuff to install it. A swap makes the most sense or it gets REALLY expensive.
