My 05 and rescue operations in SE Louisiana

I was told this would be a good place to ask this as there are numerous folks here who are/have done this. I was thinking of hauling cars in the off months when the Lawn business is not doing anything and the snow/ice isn't falling. Nothing fancy just one of those 3 or 4 car haulers. Is it worth while or would it be just a big waste of time.

Around here (St. Louis) you see aa lot of these guy's up and down the interstate as we have a pretty big auto manufacturing area as well as salvage. So this got me thinking about this if it would be something that would pay as a supplement income or do the cost (DOT standards, Insurance, fuel) outweigh the benefits.

Thanks

srenfro. Do a search on "car hauling" or "for hire". Car hauling is a full time job and maybe not something that you do on the side. I am in the process of getting into it myself. You will need about a million things, probably the most costly being commercial insurance, 750,000 liability and cargo coverage for whatever you are hauling. This could run about 800 or so a month depending on where you live and your driving record.

Thanks, I was pretty sure it wasn't something you could just do part time but I thought I'd throw it out there and see.
