Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Haunted truck

I think my truck is haunted. I have disconected my batterys a bunch of times to clear codes. I just did it this morning and the underhood light was still on!! with both positive and negative cables off! Whats up with that??

You have to run the truck three times before the light goes away so just take a trip and start and shut off the truck 3 times it should go away.

I am talking about the light that is attatched to the hood and goes on when you open the hood. Kind of like the light in your refrigerator

You weren't by any chance hooked up and connected to a trailer with a battery at the same time - like a RV, and possibly power coming back from there?



OR possibly had some battery-powered accessory plugged into one of the inside power outlets that fed power back into the truck's wiring?
