I put a FF on it dropped the trank and cleand the sock, recalibrated the APPS. it read . 01 and I adjusted it to the specified . 628. Thought that was odd and went on to replace the IAT and MAP. Tested the Batteries, cleaned the grounds battery posts and all engine connections, Still no change. TM will give it throttle and the pedal works till about 1150-1200 RPM then it falls flat on it's face and leisurely gets up to speed can barely get it into 4th on flat ground, jusu no power whatsoever. My scantool doesnt recognize the OBDII and the manual code check on hte insturment cluster wont do any thing.
Some background info. In May they treplaced the VP and LP and put a idiot light on the FP. Has not dropped below 5psi, but they had a fuel leak for about a month and different mechanics monkied with it, mis diagnosing it about a dozen times and had it sucking air for a while, all the while it was the #6 Holder, dont know why they had it off but it was leaking nonetheless.
About a week ago he had Dodge replace the key switch, again all was fine.
Then he filed it up with fuel and on his way to work he down shifted to avoid hitting a car and then it lost power. I'm stumped, I'm thinkin APPS is screwed although it reads right now, an ECM or possibly another VP. Kinda leanin toward ECM but these things usually just go out dont they? All OBDII connections look goos and test good so could the ECM be the culprit?
Oh yeah, it's a 99 SO 5sp. w/ 143k mi.
