I have tried Armour all of course and several other products for door handles, trim, etc. But they all seem to streak after rain or turn white in a week or so and bleed onto the paint etc. Any sugestions?

I have been real pleased with Mothers Back to Black. It is more of a cleaner/protectant than some of the other trim black products out there that stain the trim.

Iv used Mothers as well and have had good luck with it.

But recently, Iv noticed that I do get some streaking on the side molding.

ANyone use 303 protectant??

I have some samples and thought about trying it to see how well it works>

Thanks.

Trim Shine from Stoner products also works very well. I found the best way to apply it is to spray in on a microfibre cloth, then rub it into the desired part.

Hey donnier, yeah, I'm a believer in 303. Scrub your plastic with a brush and some dish soap, then apply the 303. I think you will like the result. 303 is made as a UV protectant for plastics and other synthetics. I've found prewashing really helps get the color back. Cheaper and has more uses than the Mother's car-care-specific stuff. I think it works better too.

The 303 Aerospace Protectant is a real good product. I use it on the trucks trim, inside and out, and on the Line-X bed liner. Ed B

303 Protectant seems to work better than any product of this type I have used in the hot Arizona sun. You may have to use it every 2 or 3 months during the hot season, but it does not leave a greasy film like Armor-All. And, when used on tire sidewalls does not turn brown in a short period of time. I would highly recommend this product for use on all interior and exterior plastic and rubber items. It is very easy to apply and reasonably priced.

It's a Turtle Wax product. I use it, it works well on the black trim. Turtle Wax - Home

Well I sprung for the $12 for some Ice and tried it on my black plastic door handels. It rained yesterday and the handels have streaks on them just like they did with back to black and several other products. next it's 303 we will see.

303 can be found at any good marine dealer... . yes its expensive... about an $1 an ounce. You will like how it works, you will even start using it other places too.
