I'm on a trip with my 5er and driving in hoter temps than usual, 100 +- 5. i had my pyro moved pre-turbo just before my trip. I am seeing much higher exh temps then i did before and i am setting off the alarm on my BD- X monitor, but i think i had it too low. i did hit 1200* breifly a few times but slowed or changed gears to cool it down. a couple times going upgrade it just seemed to quit, like someone cut off the fuel. i would drop a gear and it would rev up again. does the alarm have a fuel cut off on it? this has happened about five times. i checked for codes and got 1693. i changed the fuel filter and this seemed to help for a bit. one time pulling in to a rest area it cut out a few times and jerked a little. the other thing that bothers me is my fuel pressure is normaly 24 at idle, 19 wot. my fuel pressre has been unstable going from normal to 8 psi. it still idles at 22- 24 but will drop to 8-10 while pulling a hill. i do seem to be getting some different engine noise, not bad, just not right. My fuel punp is a BD on frame in front of tank and sounds like its doing its job. Is this the injection pump? I'm about 150 miles from home do you think i can nurse it home with out doing damage?

When the vp44 goes it just goes. If its going out there aint no nursing to it. Set your Bd monitor to 1350* I can easily hit 11-1200* pre turbo (but mine is an 06 and they run hotter. get it to the house and get her checked out.

Don't know about the engine noise but fuel pressure drop going up a hill seems normal.

Was wot (19 psi) with trailer in tow or running with out a load?

thanks for responding
