Hay from Iowa. After 2 years I have my 12v!

Hey people, hows it goin?

I'm doin just fine after finding and buying a clean 97 4x4 5 speed club cab long box with 3.54 gears with 109k on it. Why a 12 valve? I cursed my first 12v when it blew the head gasket 2200 miles from home towing my toyhauler.. But it made it all the way back home, and machinist said he doesn't understand how I managed not spin a main bearing.. I was so impressed, I sold that 2wd cummins and started searching for the 12v 4x4 I should have bought..

Anyway, I'm happy as heck and just thought Id show it off here.#ad
Mods? If any, they will be for gaining mpg because this truck will be taking me and the GF from coast to coast and then canada to mexico. Big plans!

Membership includes a Quarterly magazine.

But pretty sure you only get access to the magazine archives with membership.

Alot of the photos in posts for the older stuff goes away after the various hosting sites close up or change name. So having that archive access is pretty nice.

Personally I value the info here and the knowledge I have access to is worth alot more then $35 a year or whatever its up to now.
