Bought a Hays supertruck clutch for nv 2500 in my 2003 dodge, upon removal of what I know to be the stock clutch I made a surprising discovery. The clutch discs and pressure plate looked identical and even had matching numbers stamped into them. The Hays clutch had been sold to a friend of mine for his '02. If you have a serious truck with some hp upgrades I wouldnt waste time with the Hays. It almost appears that they are selling stock 3rd gen truck clutches as an upgrade for the 2nd gen since the newer models had a higher clampload anyway. Just an opinion based on my observatioins. Thought Id let everyone know.

umm... in my eyes the application the clutch was sold for is a super clutch... the 2002 clutch was a 12 inch clutch, so a 13 inch clutch with more holding power IS an upgrade... but the application you used it for is stock. i belive it even says this on thier web site... .

didn't check the website, just called tech number and was told about 30% over stock. also, this was still a 12" clutch, have to change flywheel to get 13 inches even in '03, Ive been checking into that...
