Competition Lima 4x4 jamboree

Thought I would show a comparision, on the left is the new Haisley 37 spline with driver hubs, on the right is the stock dana 80 axle in the 3/4 ton with manual trans.

Goes in pretty sweet:

Not sure of the precise measurment, but I got approx 1 5/8" with a tape measure.

Chris, what is the difference in the Hybrid dana 80 over a regular Dana 80 ? I asked this earlier and didn't get any response.

Thanks,

BBD

I believe it's axle sizes and it may be also the tapering of the axles isn't existent in the regular 80's--but I defer to someone with gear knowledge before you go to the bank with that--chris

freind has a dana 80 in a 450 and the outer axle tubes do not taper the way mine does and the hub is much larger ... just looking it seems as if the hub is about the same diameter as the inner edge of our lug nuts!

that is just a quick side by side observation but the hub is mucho bigger

Yeah, the full 80's use 37-spline 1. 62" dia shafts, so it sounds like that's what you're using now. I had been wondering if there was a kit out there to do this.

Like the other guys said, no taper on the tubes, bigger hubs meaning you need to go to an 8 on 225 or 10 lug pattern with the full 80's, if memory serves. Our 80 hybrids are basically 70's from the shafts out...

Chris

The hub end is splined as well, the four allen head set screws hold the end plate on.

I am attempting to keep my 1480 series universal joints as the fuseable link :D

Matt, I didn't remove the end cap but I suppose a snap ring or something simular, if I get time I will pull one and snap a pic for ya.
