Anyone got it I was thinking of getting one for my truck I have Sirius and XM and was wondering if any of you had HD and how you liked it Thanks Nick

Are you referring to satellite radio... . :confused:

If your buying a satellite radio for your truck, check Sirius and XM programming first.

My car came with XM. It`s good, but the Sirius in my truck has a better line-up for the music I like. They are both very good. It boils down to personal listening preference. :cool:

Don`t buy an add-on unit for your pre-existing radio. They suck and are a waste of money.

Buy a XM/Sirius ready unit from a local supplier. This way you can have a local warranty coverage of you unit just in case. :{

Look how HD TV took off. :rolleyes: I think I'll be replacing my truck before they get HD radio up and running. (up here at least)

I don't think HD stands for High Def. It's only semantics. There are various stations locally that advertise HD capability.

Yeah, but you need a special box to be able to get HD reception. Kinda like how you need a separate box for satellite. The only added benefits to HD Radio are FM radio with "near" CD quality sound, AM radio with FM-like reception, no static, crackles, fades, etc. , broadcast of song info such as song and artist information (which you can already get with an RDS capable deck), and makes it available for a station to "multicast. " IMO, it's not worth the extra money if you already have satellite radio.
