HD transfer case

Can anyone tell me the difference between the regular 4WD transfer case and the HD transfer case (DHG)? Just wondering, thanks.

The HD version of the 241 transfer case is rated at 1400lbs/ft of torque while the stock version is rated at 1028lbs/ft of torque. In the order description, it says that it is a "shift on the Fly" xfer case. This is not the true difference, as both Xfer cases can be shifted from 2wd to 4wd high ranger while the truck is moving up to 55mph. The 241 HD is also equipped with a power take off PTO cover and gear installed in the case. Case capacities for the 241 is 4. 7pints, and the 241HD is 6. 0 pints. Hope this helps

The HD box also has a PTO setup on it, way easy to tell the diff between the 2... ...
