I wan't to retorque my head bolts. does any one know the torque values, and the sequence in which you torque them to???

I've added 370's and had the timing set to 16. 5 degrees I limit the boost to 40 psi as I'm concerned with making my head gasket last as long as possible.

Bill,

FWIW, I've been runing 370's, a PDR HX40 limited to 40lbs, a #10 plate (etc, see signature) for at least 2 years and recently did 465 hp on the dyno and I've never retorqued the bolts. The factory bolts are "torque to yield" as I understand, so they've been stretched a bit. I don't think I'd fool with them.

If you have studs they can be retorqued as per manufacturer. Stock bolts will loose strength if retorqued and should never be reused. If you don't have studs. Buy a set, I perfer ARP studs, remove one bolt at a time and replace with a stud torqued as directed by the manufacturer. Now you can run these for a few miles and then recheck the torque.
