Archived Head gasket gone-truck stranded

Lost head gasket Saturday night. Had to leave truck at relative's house about 150-200 miles from home. Repair bill and rental car leave me with little money and wrecker is expensive. I have a truck I can borrow to get it back but am having trouble finding a trailer that can carry 8500 lbs. I have called every rental place around. If any one has any ideas please let me know.

pull the driveshafts and flat tow it w/ a tow bar.

the front end on these are pretty wide too so if you round up a trailer better make sure it will fit between the fenders.



that was the reason i used to get a new trailer a few years ago (at least that's what i told the wife, after i had have it towed home after midnight when the 2nd clutch blew)



I think Forrest has the best idea. just use a tow bar and flat tow it.
