Other than the head gaskets where have you all seen issues coming from on the 6. 7s as far as pressuring the coolant system. We replaced the head gaskets with studs and firerings and put a wastegate kit on the truck at the same time also but it still is puking out coolant from the tank and pressurizing the radiator.

Does anybody know if the turbo can have a bad seal or cracked housing and push boost past the system into the coolant lines?

Thanks for the help.

Check the egr cooler, I had the same problem and changed the head gasket with the same results. The cooler was checked and found to have no leaks before the head gasket change but when it was finally replaced the problem was solved. Again, check the egr cooler.

Our race truck... 06 puke even with firing rings ... so I shave down the coolant fins. . No more puking. Is this truck used for competition?

Not used for comp. , where are the coolant fins? The machine shop did not check the head, just surfaced it. They said they have never seen a cracked cummins head.

Then that was the first cummins head they have ever looked at! Every head we pull gets checked regardless of age or condition.

Did you use a cummins gasket or aftermarket?
