Head gasket maybe ?

a good friend of mine has an 05 that might have a head gasket problem . it has a 5000 turbo , tst box , fass , and built trans . he sled pulled with it all last year with no problems making 60+ of boost . before anyone ask it DOES NOT have studs . i just want to see if anyone else has had simular problems . first at idle it has a miss and a little white smoke . but when you give it fuel it quits and driving it is fine . thanks for all the help in advance .

60+ #'s of boost on a stock gasket, good chance I would have to say.

yes and lasted all year like that i installed the turbo last april . he pulled just about every weekend sometimes both sat. and sun. i was really surprised i lasted this long . i am going to start tearing it down tomorrow night so if anyone else has any ideas let me know . thanks

how does it sound when it cranks over? nice & even or does it have a "high" spot?

when its idling does it sound like its missing if you listen at the exhuast?

other symptom for me were hard start sometimes, rough idle (door would shake if open), popping at high boost.
