Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) head gasket woes

well my head gasket has just sprung a bad leak, can i use liquid glass coolant seal to temporaily seal it?



also are there any places out there that sell head gasket kits/sets cheaper than $350?

Must be leaking at the right front edge. Not uncommon with high mileage. Head needs to come off for proper repair. Not sure about cost of parts.

I think I saw an add on DTR selling a set, do'nt go to dealer go to cummins.

Gasket set PN 4089649 cost me $163. 69 in Dec 03. I doubt if it is much higher now. I got it from Diesel Power supply Co. in Waco, so it may even be less direct from Cummins.

I just bought an upperend kit from rocky mountain cummins for $220. That included overnight shipping. It had everything I needed to replace the head gasket and more.

yeah its leaking at right front edge, but only have 126k on clock.
