Have an 05 Merc Gran Marquis. The head lights when set to the auto position, come on when it gets dark. They will stay on a few seconds when you exit the vehickle at night. The switch also has an "ON" position where the lights will stay on till you turn them off. Last night coming home the lights flickered a couple of times then went out. Only way I can get any headlight is to pull up on the turn signal handle and get brights. Have checked all fuses and relays and can't find what controls the lights? Any ideas? Thanks, bg

Car is at dealership, appears to be the LCM, "Light Control Module", may be akin to our TIPM as it is very expensive. bg

I am interested in what they find as I also own a Mercury and the headlights sound like they function the same as your describing. I love the vehicle, but the elctronics on that thing scare me.

It was the Lighting Control Module. Shows to be $525. 20 with labor at $89. 10 I have extended warranty so I got out for $100. 00 bg
