Competition Tcolesanti to Iraq

Well I just spent a few hours searching for answers to my ?s and didn't really come up with much. I plan on getting the head o-ringed, resurfaced (decked), ARP studs. ? I have is what gasket to use with the injectors I have and what do you recommend. I plan on having the timing advanced to 18 and run my H20/Meth system with the 2 625 nozzles. Gonna try and keep the turbo below 70. Hope this doesn't confuse anyone. Thanks in advance.

Sorta depends on how much needs to get shaved off your head to get it flat to decide which HG to go with. they have stock, . 10 and . 20 thickness. My head was OK just needed a little cleaning up at the machine shop and I went with a . 10 marine HG to bring the compression down a tad. A good Oring job and studs with a marine HG should hold you good at 70Psi, Its working for me.

Either gasket is fine, no reason to use a stock thickness. Your torques/re-torques are paramount, as long as you have a good flat head you will not have any issues with that setup, I ran it for years!

Remember boost may not be an issue, drive pressure might be.

Real quick while were on this subject, what are you guys doing for retorques after you have 4 good ones in stages up to 125. I did 96, 120, 125 and final at 125 with many heat cycles between them. Do it annually then or????

Well I'm gonna go with Haisley's fire ring kit and their stock thickness gasket. As far as runnin the charger that high I was told by who I bought it from it should be able to run between 65 and 70. Definitely wont be an everyday occurence though. Thanks for the reply's so far. Oh and I'm gonna run their studs also, A1s I believe. One more question, is it worth it to maybe change to titanium retainers and hardened keepers?
