Hi all,

Is it possible to install head studs, with out pulling the head? I know yhat the best way is to pull the head, however, i can not affor the down time on the truck. The reason I am considering studs, is I was thinking of adding water/meth for towing, but don't want to blow a gasket.

As always any advice is appreciated

Ive replaced mine with the head on. There are some rubber plugs in the cowl part just above the back of the head. Take them out and thats how youll have to get the last couple studs in. I was told to put the longer studs on the outside of the valve cover.

Atleast this is what i did on mine.

Believe it or not I am actually happy with the power of my truck at this time. ;) I am just trying to prevent any future issues.

Thanks for the advice.
