What are the options for larger head studs in a 12v?

12mm or 14mm. The only catch is that with the 14mm studs, you have to tap the block for the larger studs and the head must be reamed to allow for the larger studs. 12mm should be more than enough for you.

You have 3 options 14mm and 12mm as mentioned and also the new 12mm studs made from some fancy super strong material they are supposedly as strong as 14mm but you dont need to machine the head and block.

Harry at PDR has a few of each as of the other day, they are much more $$$ then the standard studs but also much more clamping force!
