Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) head work

I am taking my block to EEP on friday to have o-ringed and I want to have any head work done I can. I asked him about porting and Doug said they don't port because there is not enough material in the head and that there's not enough benifit from porting. I have heard of problems before about heads to thin after porting and cracking but he just acted like they don't do anything with the heads. If they don't that's great it's just less money I have to spend to try and make trucks run like the ones they build. Has anyone ever had them do any thing else with their head that I should ask about? He also said no stud kits because their not worth the money and dave still runs his stock bolts on the white dodge. If dave can run stock bolts I don't see why any one would need a stud kit. Matt
