Does anyone think there would be an issue hooking up the lights on my headache rack to the truck eg tail, brake , turn and reverse lights. They are standard lights not LED though if that was better I could certainly replace them. I was thinking of tying them into the trailer light circuits back by one of the plugs (I have an additional plug in the bed for my 5th/gn). Even thought about getting yet another plug and piggy backing it (like the original extra plug) and cutting off the plug so that I don't even have to splice into the middle of the circuit.
I never had a problem with the lights on my 2nd gen or even when towing but this new one is so computerized just want to double check before I tear into this weekend.
Thoughts/concerns?

It would probably be wise to wire up a plug into the existing connector. I'm leary of what kind of wiring "changes" can be made on these new model trucks also.

I'm with Don, pull it from the trailer package wiring....

I do a lot of electrical (Just love extra lights and other trinkets..:D) and I have had zero issues with my third gen, I firmly believe it's because I build stand alone circuits for any add on stuff. The only existing wire I tapped was the cigar lighter for an accessory trigger, other than that it's all it's own system.

That trailer harness plan is a good one.
