I am pretty sure my head gasket is toast. I only took my truck up to 35 psi a couple times just to check things out. I haven't towed with my truck since I made the mods. This pressure was at 2800-3000 rpm or so. I'm thinking of trying to set my fuel to limit boost to 30-32psi and not rev it past 2700 rpm again. Will this save me or should I o-ring the head. What would o-ringing cost as funds are kind of low. This headgasket problem might explain some of the smoke I was getting at idle. Anyone feel free to jump in and give me their two cents as I hate learning the hard way. I thought by sliding the plate back I would have a little less power and not have to do 4" exhaust, the clutch, turbo, or wreck any thing. Oh well I get to drive my brother's '01 right now as he's up a Fort St. John BC on an oil rig.

From what I've seen , most are not too much botherd with the pressure until around 50psi , but with the millage its possible that it was weak , as long as its off do as much as possible , port & polish , ring the heads , check valves maybe hone them if there good enough , don't forget to check the valve guides , then stud the head, then when its back together and your wallet has healed up do the exhaust , clutch ,turbo , hay wheres the gauges ? bad bad ,
